It comes out June 28. As part of that launch, I'm holding an all-day party. In the book, I feature a bunch of amazing artists who something that I find pretty amazing: they make a living by selling their art, and they do it without the help of famous galleries, art consultants or trappings of the art world elite.
You won't read about these artists in the New York Times, and you won't see them in the Gagosian gallery – at least, not yet.
So, on June 28, we will start at 8:00 AM Pacific time, with Shirley Williams, a painter who pulled all of her work out of the high-end galleries she was selling at started managing her own collector relationships. Throughout the day, we will feature the artists from the books, as well as some surprise guests and some of my business friends, to talk about the business of selling art and what it takes to have a successful life as an artist.
