San Francisco metal maven Aimee Golant was one of my first interviews for tTAP, and listening back to our June 7, 2010 conversation reminded me of how much great business info Aimee had to share!
Blessed with supportive parents, Aimee went after her real dream to be a full-time artist right out of college (where, btw, she was totally discouraged by one awful teacher… and then wonderfully encouraged by another). She learned the hard way, though, that the business side of things is really critical if you want to succeed.
She also figured out that putting all of your eggs in one basket is rarely a good idea for a solopreneur. As you’ll hear, her income now comes from a wide variety of sources. (Very smart!)
Find Aimee at http://www.aimeegolant.com, and you can email her with any questions at info (at) aimeegolant (dot) com.
BTW, the To Life! Festival mentioned at 43:34 is the street festival that I’ve done every year, and was supposed to do this year, but instead spent the morning in the ER with a dislocated knee…
