Would you like a guide to help you build your artist website? Are you confused about hosting? Don’t you wish there was a company that specialized in helping creative people with technical website stuff?
My friend Nedra Rezinas, who owns and operates Blue Deer Forest web hosting, specializes in helping people get their own custom websites set up. She’s moved hundreds of people from services like Blogger or WordPress.com to their own self-hosted WordPress site.
Nedra and I are going to host a totally free webinar on Hosting & Website setup for Artists.
In this totally free webinar, we will cover the following topics:
- an overview of what hosting is and why it’s important
- what creative people should focus on for hosting
- how to get a very basic wordpress website up and running, along with how to evaluate a WordPress theme to know if it’s going to work for your needs
Over the next few weeks, I will also be posting new content on WordPress resources for artists.
UPDATE: You can see the recording of the webinar at this link.

Hi Cory,
I wondered if you knew about this, and if it may be a smart direction.

I literally feel overwhelmed with everything, and can use all the help I can get.
The thing is, I will be able to maintain a blog and website, but starting it is kicking my butt. I have had several false starts, and I require assistance
I am still wondering if it is a wise to combine my yoga business with my art business in one site.
I totally wish a private session with you was feasible for me right now, but it is not.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you
