What Makes a Great Art Work in Progress Post?

Artists are always asking me what they should share on social media. I took a few minutes and put together some great work in progress images and videos from Instagram and Facebook.

These are all working artists like you, who give a little bit of an insight and context to their art, and it helps them sell more art. I hope you enjoy them.

Example WIP posts:

Great WIP ideas! I think using these style of posts gives your work credibility and gives the person insight into your process! Love them, need more of them! Thanks for the reminder!

Wonderful! What are some of the ways that people make time lapse videos? Any tips/pointers?
The painting is done in 2 or 3 sessions right? How do you merge the time lapse videos?

I’ve used the app Hyperlapse to shoot mine. I like it because it looks more smooth (some seem to skippy/bouncy.) Super easy to do, just set it up.and forget it’s there, work away.

I take pictures constantly as I make progress on things, and share on IG a lot. I find that FB responds well when I’m actually in the picture with my art.
